Modules for more functionality

Hatteland Displays internal IO module series for marine applications expands and goes external. The concept provides flexibility for new installations and easy upgrade of already installed systems.

CAN Module

Hatteland Display's latest generation CAN module with CO-Processor (NXP LPC1756) is designed to meet NMEA2000 / J1939 / CANOpen USB to dual isolated CAN interface providing system integrators with a robust and accessible solution for adding own functionality such as real time critical functions, and supported by (API) Protocols, SAE-J2534.

This factory installed or external optional extra is delivered with the latest generation box PC solutions and with the Series X Panel PC products (Series X MMC 8, 13, 12, 15, 17, 19, 24 and 26 inch). The CAN Module can also operate as a standalone unit, and be configured to operate independent of application software and hardware, allowing the use of the module for time and safe critical operations.

COM Modules

Integrated into the latest generation box PC and Series X Panel PC products (Series X MMC 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 24, and 26 inch) from Hatteland Display, the COM modules provide the system with quad independent COM channels. The module is attached to the motherboard via standard USB interface or available as external module. There are 2 COM modules available; RS-232 and RS-422 / RS-485, developed to operate with maritime applications on board ships.

The 4 x RS-232 module is a non isolated base COM module with Microsoft® Windows® and Selected Linux support available.

The 4 x RS-422 / RS-485 module is fully tested and approved for ECDIS, IEC 61162-1/2(NMEA 0183) and is an isolated module with support for Microsoft® Windows® as well as selected Linux based operating systems.

The Hatteland Display DIO module provides system integrators with an integrated control solution that reduces development time and enhances the performance of automation control systems such as (Low power/Relay control, Medium power buzzer, Indicator lamps and Electrical motors) as some typical examples.

With 4 isolated digital outputs and 4 isolated digital inputs (independent) and support for Microsoft® Windows® as well as a selection of Linux operating systems supported by Hatteland Display, this add-on option can be ordered with the latest generation box PC solutions and with the innovative Series X Panel PC products (Series X MMC 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 24 and 26 inch). The DIO, as with all Hatteland Display products, will be IEC 60945 4th (EN 60945:2002) and IACS E10 approved.

External Modules Accessory

Hatteland Display also offers external modules in their own casing, making them easily connectable to any Series X Panel PC or Computer. The cased module offers the same functionality as the factory integrated modules. They interface via a standard USB Type A Cable and the chassis comes with its own mounting hinges. In addition a neat mounting bracket is available to secure the casing on the back of a Series X Panel PC product matching our VESA mounting holes of 75mm or 280mm.
